Prog rock went New wave, circa 1980. Yes went almost punk. I had a hard time with that.

Mafidl:
The other three were Alan White (considered a classic member of Yes,), Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes. Horn and Downes were the replacemnets of Anderson and Wakeman. Previuosly, they were known as, 'The Buggles;' no doubt a tribute to the Beatles.
The 'Buggles' are historically known for their musical video, and their break through tone: 'Video Killed the Radio Star.'

That video, and tune, was the first song aired on MTV. The rest is history.
